If you update your current billing plan or just simply replace it with a new one, you will not lose any credits. All credits received to that moment will remain in your account and will be usable. The new plan becomes active as soon as the relevant transaction finishes.
When you update/change your subscription you
will instantly be charged for the chosen subscription and a new
amount of credits will be added to your account. e.g.

you have a Monthly subscription with 100 credits

and you have spent 10 credits (subtotal 90 credits )

you then update your plan to a Monthly subscription of 200 credits

you are charged for 200 credits
so you now have a total of 290 credits
